Kala Sangam’s Heritage Interpretation Project

Published by KalaSangam on

Help shape the future of Kala Sangam Arts Centre! We’re undertaking an exciting heritage interpretation project as part of our major redevelopment, and we want to hear from you.

As part of the major capital redevelopment of our building, which will see Kala Sangam Arts Centre become a bigger, more welcoming and accessible space, we are undertaking an exciting heritage interpretation project. This will inform the ways in which we help people to appreciate the site and to deepen the heritage experience of local people and visitors once we re-open.

The project will involve research and conversations with a range of stakeholders which will tease out stories, likes, wants and wishes of the history of our building, organisation and future plans.

We would like to explore three areas:

  • Stories you may have about the history of the building (St Peter’s House) and your involvement/interaction with Kala Sangam over the years.
  • The ways you would like to see the heritage of Kala Sangam portrayed to our local people and visitors.
  • The types of people who you would like to be engaged with Kala Sangam

If you would like to take part in a small workshop/Q&A session, preferably with a small group of people from your organisation, we would love to hear from you. Please contact our Head of Community Engagement on amer@kalasangam.org and we can organise a convenient time to meet.
