Help us shape Kala Sangam’s future

Published by KalaSangam on

Kala Sangam has been on an incredible journey over the last few years and now we want your help in shaping our future!

In two years, we have more than doubled the number of performances and exhibitions we present, with our audiences in 2018/19 up 38% on the previous year. Our support for artists continues to significantly increase – last year we supported more artists to create new work than the company had in the previous 25 years combined. Our commitment to South Asian performing arts has also increased with more work presented, and more artists supported, than ever before.

We have exciting plans for the future, including a potential Capital build that will hopefully create a new, larger theatre space and ensure that our building (and all the amazing stuff that happens within its walls) is accessible to everybody.

Our vision is to reflect the diversity of contemporary Britain through the work we present, the artists we support and the communities we engage. We’ve asked consultants Armstrong Cameron to engage with our audiences, and the communities of Bradford, to let us know whether we’re delivering this vision – and how we could do it better.

We’ll be holding focus groups and individual consultation sessions, but firstly we’re asking everyone and anyone to fill out a short survey. It should take no longer than 5 minutes, and your responses will directly support us as the company continues to grow. We’re looking to get as many responses as possible so please do share the survey with friends, colleagues and anyone else you think might be interested!

Thank you
