Please join us for a series of fun, hands-on workshops about the mystery and beauty of gold leaf gilding, led by conservation specialist Pam Keeton.

The first session will give an opportunity to gather inspiration from the magnificent surroundings of Cliffe Castle and to look at the gilding work around the building. There will also be an introductory talk with Dale Keeton, the Social History Collections Officer for Bradford Museums and Galleries, who will provide insights into the the journey of silk from India and the restoration of one of the building’s most important interiors, the Great Drawing Room.

The second workshop will be held at Kala Sangam, and will explore the architecture of Bradford Cathedral.

Event 2Tuesday 9th March 10am-3pm at Kala Sangam, St Peter’s House, Bradford, BD1 4TYWhile these events will be of special interest to interior designers and architects, they are open to anyone who would like to experience this fascinating ancient craft.
