Changing Lives Say No to Knives

This month Sohail Khan worked with a group of year 8 pupils from Keighley on the themes of gun, gang and knife crime to prepare them for a Red Cross session by Brogan Sohanpaul. With the group struggling to control their behaviour Sohail worked with the young people to form an agreement and a framework on which to behave. They also discussed how their individual behaviour and responsibilities had parallels to conflict in society.

Brogan session involved looking at a real life stabbing case in London with the young people discussing how they might react if they were confronted with a real life emergency. The young people also had the opportunity to learn how to dress different kinds of wounds and give basic medical care.
