Speak Up
Speak Up, a Y Speak funded exciting consultation undertaken in November 2005 gave the young people of Bradford a chance to have their say about the service provision of their arts and cultural activities.
The consultation empowered a strong youth voice, built confidence and self-esteem, introduced new art forms and enhanced team work and presentation skills.
We consulted with over fifty young people, aged 13+ from various local groups, community and youth centres, focusing on ethnic minorities and learning disabilities. The research compiled from this project led to the urban-rural exchange project Kala Pal.
