Kala Sangam - Bringing people together through South Asian and Interdisciplinary Arts

In Partnership with E:merge, Kala Sangam provided two large drum circles for this Summer School Fame Academy where young people learnt to sing, dance and create music.Participants responded with vigour and enthusiasm! One girl was averse to drumming almost phobic. She sat outside the circle with a staff member, so I found her a quacking duck glove puppet and she joined in with glee and did a solo Steve Hill, Drum Circle Facilitator. The young people enjoyed it. He engaged well with them and was kind. Fame Academy Co-ordinator, E:Merge. and did a solo with Steve Hill.
