NEW Spring/Summer season – starting in February 2018!

Published by on

2018 is a hugely significant year for Kala Sangam.

Since 1993 this organisation has brought the very best in South Asian arts to the city and throughout our Spring/Summer 2018 season we will be celebrating this – at our 25th Anniversary Gala dinner, with Santoor and Qawaali performances, and in our exhibition space through the work of Nabeelah Hafeez and her late father Hafeez Johar.

This year however we are also looking to our future. Kala Sangam is changing, as we become an intercultural arts hub. This means more diverse work on our stage, more engagement with communities across Bradford, more of a role in supporting artists, and crucially even more high-quality art on show. This season I’m delighted to be able to bring you a world premiere from Breaking Tradition, a first visit to the city by Mobius Dance, a taste of Oastler Market in our space thanks to Wur Bradford, an inspirational lineup of speakers and artists for International Women’s Day and much more.

Whether it’s a first visit or you’re a loyal audience member I hope you’ll find something to interest you, and if there’s something you’d like to see in future why not get in touch?
