Gold Arts Award alum Fay Beesley talks to Arts Award on Voice about balancing her career as an Education and Outreach Officer and as an performance artist who has performed internationally.

Fay said “Arts Award enables children and young people to gain a variety of skills such as build up their self-esteem and team work skills. Arts Award allows children and young people to have the unique opportunity  to learn about the different arts forms, work with artists and share their creative vision.

Achieving my Arts Award has helped me in my current role as Education and Outreach Officer for Kala Sangam, as I was able to develop my creative writing skills, leadership and team work skills through Arts Award, as well as learn about the different careers within the artsArts Award enables children and young to participate in the arts and to be inspired.”
