Bradford Producing Hub appoints Commissioning Producer

Published by KalaSangam on

Kala Sangam is part of a consortium of six Bradford arts organisations and independents who were recently awarded almost £1.5million from Arts Council England for Bradford Producing Hub (BPH) – a new project which seeks to support everyone making live performance in the District and make more high quality work available and accessible to people living here. You can find out more here.

We recently advertised for a Commissioning Producer to help deliver the first phase of this innovative new project. We had an excellent response to the open recruitment call out, six people were interviewed by a panel including consortium members and representation from Bradford’s arts community – and we are delighted that Lisa Mallaghan will be taking up this role from mid-November.

Lisa is a highly skilled Producer with lots of experience and a huge passion for creativity in the District. She will be working 3 days per week for BPH alongside her role as Senior Producer at Bradford-based Mind the Gap, the UK’s largest learning disability theatre company.

The first six months of BPH will be about talking to artists and audiences from across the District to make sure that everything is truly responding to what our communities want and need. We’re creating opportunities for as many people as possible to be involved in this conversation through events, workshops and more so that people can have their say before we start the next commissioning and delivery phase. Please make sure you are signed up to our newsletter and following our social media channels for more information coming soon.
