Kuchipudi is a graceful classical Indian dance named after a village from the state of Andhra Pradesh. Kuchipudi involves intricate footwork and a great deal of enacting a story using hand gestures and a variety of facial expressions.

Remya Jeyaraj based in West Yorkshire, is a trained professional dancer whose expertise is in 4 styles of classical Indian dance  - Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi and two other dances from Kerala - Mohiniyattam and Kathakali. She trained in Kerala, India and is now delivering performances, dance classes and works across the region. Remya will lead the workshop on Kuchipudi so come along and have a go !
