Our Trustees are as shown below

David Lascelles

David Henry George Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles is a British film producer and son of Lord  Harewood. He was recently involved in staging the hugely sucessful Carnival Messiah with Geraldine Connor that took place in summer 07, on the grounds of the estate.

Geraldine Connor

A reputed ethnomusicologist Geraldine graduated from the Royal College of Music, London where she majored in voice, pianoforte and conducting. She is best known for Carnival Messiah which she conceived, authored, composed and directed. Geraldine is also a choral director, a performer.

Kishor Shah

Is a qualified chartered account ant and is a partner of Ashford accounts. He long standing member of the board and has been chair of Kala Sangam until recently. His passion is for arts and culture and for Bradford.

Les Web

Les is a retired architect and town planner. He enjoys sailing and golf and has a keen interest in the arts. He is passionate about our move to St Peters House and continues to use his expertise in this area to drive the project forward.

Mervyn Silva

Mervyn works as an IT manager for the NHS, his special area of interest is Web Technology. A Kala Sangam Trustee for 7 years, his hobbies include gym, DIY and photography. Mervyn is married to Janet and has two daughters Esther 23 and Catherine 16.

Murray Edwards

Murray Edwards, Executive Director Theatre Royal Wakefield and a trustee of the Wakefield Cultural Partnership. Has worked extensively in the arts and in local government and has held two chief officer posts most recently for York City Council. Born and educated in Edinburgh he now lives in a farmhouse just outside Wakefield. Leisure interests include music, travel and walking in the Dales. 

Paul White

Retired Financial Director of division of US manufacturing company, Paul has worked all over the world. He is married and his interests include art, music, golf and (watching) Bradford Bulls.

Purnima Tanuku

Chair

Purnima Tanuku is Chief Executive of the National Day Nurseries Association. Purnima works closely with ministers and senior civil servants, and represents NDNA and the sector. Purnima is married with a son and a daughter. She is a trained dancer and has supported Kala Sangam dance classes.

Salam Mohammed

Vice Chair

As Chief Executive of COEMO he works with ethnic minority organisations provide vital services to their communities, often bridging gaps of understanding and information between statutory services and their clients.
